FC Taraba Coach Nduka

FC Taraba Coach Ndubuisi Nduka is optimistic his team will not be relegated at the end of the football season.

Nduka stated this on Sunday after his side lost to host Dolphins FC 1-3, in a week 30 Nigeria Professional Football League match in Port Harcourt.

He said the team lost the game due to mistakes which the opponents capitalised to score goals.

Nduka said despite the loss, the team would work hard to get points in the remaining matches.

``We are hopeful to salvage some points in the remaining games and escape relegation,’’ he said.

Dolphins Omo Johnson scored the first goal in the 20th minute. Returnee striker, Godbless Asamoah, scored twice in the 77th and 80th minutes.

Bishop Onyedo scored Taraba’s only goal in the 84th minute through a penalty.

Dolphins Coach Stanley Eguma commended his strikers for converting the chances they had.

Eguma, particularly praised Asamoah, who had been out due to injury for scoring twice, stressing that he was impressed with his form.
