A People's Democratic Party,  PDP support group in Plateau State, the "Greater Together Voice GTV" has accused Governor Simon Lalong of  spending N89 million on air travels within and outside Nigeria in the past 90 days.

Addressing a press conference in Jos, it added that over N105 million was used as hotels accommodation in Abuja, while the governor had  obtained a loan of N10.8 billion with high interest rate within the period even with a proposed bailout funds in the making.

Spokesman of the group, Samuel Umaru, alleged that the young administration  has mismanaged   public funds and also accused some top government officials including Secretary to the State Government SSG of corrupt practices.
According to GTV, the government used N2.2 billion to purchase few official cars, saying this was an act of insensitity considering that workers were still being owed at that period.

"Despite the collection of N10.8 billion loan from UBA and Zenith banks at a very night interest, the Lalong administration is yet to settle unpaid workers salaries. So far, N89 million has been spent on chartered flights, and 105 million has been spent on penthouses in NICON Noga Hilton hotel Abuja in 90 days. The governor bought two Range Rovers Sport 2015 model and other cars worth 2.2 billion.

"It also accused the Lalong led administration of inequality and lopsidedness in the appointments so far made in the State, according to them, Plateau state has more 54 ethnic groups, but the governor  appointed 10 of his kinsmen out of the 33 appointments made so far, without other tribes having any.

"GTV condemns in in strong terms Lalong's appointment of 10 Goemais in his government, out of the 33 appointments so far made with other tribe having one slot or no appointment at all."

It challenged the APC administration in the Sate to investigate expenditures of government, adding that the high debt profile allegedly left by the PDP administration in the State was false and blackmail.

The group, concluding affirms that   "the Greater Together is hereby passing a vote of no confidence on the Lalong administration in its first  100 days in office."
