Ultimate Strikers star Victor Osimhen has dedicated his Golden Boot Award to his senior sister, who gave birth to a baby girl on Friday, and has appreciated coach Emmanuel Amenuke for being a role model to the players.
The 16 - year - old etched his name into Fifa Under 17 World Cup folklore by scoring his tenth goal of the tourney on Sunday night in the final against Mali, erasing the earlier record which he shared with Florent Sinama Pongolle (FC Lausanne-Sport) and Souleymane Coulibaly (Peterborough United).
“I want to thank coach Amuneke again for what he has impacted in us and I’m also grateful to my teammates who helped me to break the record,” said Osimhen, according to thenff.com.
Osimhen, who was voted the second best player in Chile, has been linked with a clutch of clubs across Europe not limited to Man City, Manchester United, Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool.
