Nigeria Under 20s coach, Manu Garba, has been accused of asking players
based in Kaduna to pay a bribe of =N=50,000.00 before they underwent a
screening exercise last weekend.
The Nigeria Football Federation
has reportedly reappointed Manu Garba as coach despite the dismal
performance of the Flying Eagles at the last World Cup in New Zealand .
It
would be recalled that former Catania player Prince Ogbonna had
threatened to arrest Manu for duping him of =N=500,000, being the amount
of money he was told to pay for three of his protegees to be called up
to the Flying Eagles.
“I will be so disappointed if it’s
real that the information coming out from grassroots clubs in Kaduna
that they are paying National U20 Coach Manu Garba 50,000 naira for each
player before he is allowed to be on screening.
“It is a disgrace to him, and NFF have to investigate, ” Kaduna - based journalist Tonga Abdul said on Facebook.
Allnigeriasoccer.com is investigating the allegations and will update our readers as soon as possible.
