Chukwuogo, interacting with journalists in Awka, Anambra State dismissed the media outbursts of Chief Victor Umeh, National Chairman of the All Progressive Grand Alliance, APGA on the Supreme Court ruling on the Senatorial election which he described as mischievous and playing to the gallery.
The DG of DCO, the campaign organisation of Dr. Obiora Okonkwo
further counselled Umeh to desist from stepping into territories he is not familiar with.
"In one breath, Umeh is interpreting the judgment of the Supreme Court and in another, he is declaring who is qualified or not to stand for election in the Anambra Central Senatorial re-run election.
"We are not aware, Umeh is working with the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC to determine who is qualified or not qualified to stand for the re-run election, his pronouncements are therefore presumptous'', Chukwuogo argued.
Dsmissing Umeh's claims that the PDP has no candidate for the re-run election, Chukwuogo argued that but for his subsisting pre-election suit, Obiora Okonkwo would have been declared the duly elected Senator.
The DCO boss urged Umeh to desist from misinforming the public or if he must do so to consult professionals who are better informed than him in such matters.
Chukwuogo added that the PDP earned quantum votes in the entire Anambra Central Senatorial district on account of Okonkwo's presumptive status as the party's lawful candidate.
