Loss of focus and in-fighting are among the reasons why Abia State Governor Okezie Ikpeazu sacked his 15-man media team headed by his Chief Press Secretary, CPS, Mr. Godwin Adindu. The governor reported was not getting adequate mileage from the bogus team most of whom he inherited from his predecessor.

Theledgerng.com further gathered that from day one the media team were at each other's throat rather than paying attention to their job definition.

Sources from Government House fingered a former media aide to  former Governor Theodore Orji who made life miserable for Adindu. The former aide it was claimed wanted to be named the CPS but was shocked when Adindu was appointed. The source alleged that the former instigated in-fighting in the team and went as far as sponsoring negative publications against Adindu.

On the other hand, some members of the team who were in Ikpeazu campaign team also saw Adindu as an interloper and never gave him  full cooperation.

Adindu on his own part did not do enough to cultivate his immediate constituency in the State, preferring a divide-and-rule tactics.

The notice of the sack was contained in a statement issued by the chief of staff to the governor, Chief Chijioke Nwakodo Thursday.
