* Ogbemudia

Dr. Samuel Ogbemudia, the  first post civil war  military administrator of old Mid Western region, democratically elected executive governor old Bendel state has died at 84 years of age.

He was said to have died Thursday night at an undisclosed hospital, near Ajah, in Lagos at about 11:09 pm.

He was said to have died after a protracted illness.

As at the time of filling report, sympathisers are already trooping to his residence in Benin,  located along Iyeya Street.

Among those who have signed the condolence register include Apostle Roland Igbinosun  who described the late army general as a father to his  ministry.

In his condolence message,  Hon. Stanley Ohumumwan, said Ogbemudia was the most accomplished  governor of Edo state who made everybody happy.

"Ogbemudia will be buried beside his mother, said his son, Samuel Ogbemudia junior,  first son of the late two time governor, who  described his late father as a good man  who will be missed by all. 

Ogbemudia junior who spoke to journalists at the residence of his late father in Benin,  said his father died a satisfied man who took pleasure in making others happy. 

"He was an achiever and a father to all who will be missed by all. 
He was a wonderful person who had the ability to anticipate issues.

He was a nice person who thinks about you more than he thinks about himself. 
He was a caring father," said.

The first son of the late retired army general confirmed that his late father will be buried in a grave he had prepared in his premises beside his late mother, 
Oghomwenrhie Ogbemudia, who died in 1968.
