* Ugwuanyi
Even as Enugu State Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi  thinks Cabinet reshuffle, the recent defection of his predecessor, Sullivan Chime may fast-track the process as the governor has come under immense pressure to weed out his predecessor's loyalists in his administration.

Theledgerng.com gathered that before Chime's defection, Gov Ugwuanyi was contemplating major re-structuring of his administration to ease out non-performing members of the administration

Among those likely to be weeded out are those whose appointment were believed to have been
facilitated by the immediate past governor of the State, Sullivan Chime. Two weeks ago, Chime who is believed to be under investigation by Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC recently defected to the All Progressive Congress, APC.

* Udeuhele
In a solidarity rally organised by members of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in Awgu, in Agwu Local Government Area,LGA two weeks ago, Ugwuanyi has told his party members among whom was Deputy Senate President, Ike Enwerenmadu that he was  on the verge of reshuffling  his cabinet and constituting Boards of State Parastatals and Agencies.

Theledgerng.com sources hints that likely Commissioners whos jobs are on the line includes the Commissioners of Agriculture and Information, Mike Eneh and Godwin Udeuhele respectively. The governor's predecessor in the House of Representatives, Hon Fidel Ayogu, who is the State Commissioner for Environment may also be relieved of his appointment, just like the Special Adviser on Small and Medium scale Enterprises, SMEs, Hon Anayo Agu who is  Chime brother in-law.

Several other appointees who are believed to be nominees of the immediate past governor, Chime are expected to be shown the way out with their patron transferring his allegiance to the ruling APC at the centre. Top on the list includes Chime's first son, Nnamdi, who is Ugwuanyi's Senior Special Assistant, SSA on Investment Promotion. Chimme former Personal Assistant, Mrs Tochi Eze who is now Ugwuanyi's SSA on Community Relations may also be shown the way out.

* Eneh
Chime's decision to join the APC provoked  the ire of his kinsmen in Udi LGA who believe he betrayed them by abandoning the platform which brought him to political prominence and relevances, first as State Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, and later as governor for two terms. Political leaders in his community told Theledgerng.com that they Chime's volte face was unbecoming of a leader.

Chime's constituents thumbed down his political move during a political rally which attracted thousands from all the 22 communities including  the member representing Udi/Ezeagu Federal constituency in the National Assembly, Hon. Dennis Amadi; former Minister Fidelia Njeze; the LGA Chairman Hyacinth Ngwu, top serving and former office holders and traditional rulers  under the aegis of Udi Consultative Forum.

Chief Eric Chime, chairman, Udi Consultative Forum, UCF  who led the group to the Lion Building, declared that “by abandoning the political platform through which we all supported him to become governor of Enugu state, Chime has said many incredible things, not only against the PDP on whose back he rode to prominence, but also against the present administration he helped instal''.

* Chime
While he recognized that he had the right to choose whom to associate with, politically, the UCF chairman was dismayed that  Chime chose the APC, the party through which untold hardship has been visited on the generality of Nigerians. According to the UCF Chieftain who claimed that Chime was blinded by personal political ambition, “what every right thinking Udi man expected from him is for him to reciprocate the good gesture of support that all sections of the state gave him while he was governor, and especially since the entire state endorsed his choice of Ugwuanyi as a worthy successor”.
