Hon. Tony Nwoye at the end of the Anambra APC governorship primary in Awka, Anambra State has emerged the party's flagbearer with 2,146 delegates votes.
Trailing distant second and third places respectively includes Sen. Andy Ubah who got 931 votes and Chief George Moghalu who got 525 votes.
Former favourite, Mr Barth Nwibe got 414 votes, Paul Chukwuma got 110 votes and Mr. Onunkwo Johnbosco 85 votes.
Altogether 12 aspirants stood for the primary election.
As at the time of publishing, the APC is yet to officially announce the result, however, after the public collations of votes, the above figures emerged.
Nwoye who will be 43 by September 13, 2018 representates Anambra East/West in the House of Representatives. He was elected on the platform of the PDP before his defection to the APC.
