The popular entertainer, Charles Oputa, aka Charly Boy was among those teargased early Tuesday at the Unity Fountain by the Nigeria Police who attempted to halt an anti-Buhari protest. The musician later collapsed as a result of the effects of the tear gas and was later roused by co-protesters who poured water on him

The protesters who had embarked on what they themed 'Buhari Return or Resign Protest' were reacting  against the continued stay of President Muhammadu Buhari in London, United Kingdom for over 90 days running.

Early Tuesday, they amassed at the Unity Fountain square, Abuja to begin the protest, but were prevented from entering the square by a contigent of armed policemen who said they were acting on 'orders from above'

The protesters who ignored the Police and continued with their protest on the streets were forced to disperse as the police hosed them with water. But as they persisted, they were later tear-gased.
