i.     Tony Nwoye, born as twins will be 44 on Sept 13, 2018

 ii.    Nwoye and Anambra State Gov. Willie Obiano are both from Anambra East LGA

 iii.   Tony Nwoye  studied medicine at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka and Ebonyi State University, Abakiliki

 iv.    As a medical student at, he contested and won election as the Speaker of the Student Union Government,SUG, UNEC, becoming the  first medical student to serve in that capacity in the history of UNN. 

 v.     He was elected the National president of National Association of Nigeria             Student (NANS) in December, 2003 

 vi.    He became the State Chairman of Anambra State PDP in 2006 at 31, creating record as youngest State Chairman of a political party in Nigeria

 vii.   He was PDP's governorship candidate in the 2014 governorship election, and was placed behind Gov. Willie Obiano the winner.

 viii.  Currently, he represents Anambra East/West Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives. He contested for the seat in the 2011 General Election, but was allegedly robbed of victory, and spent several years fighting to retrieve his victory.

 ix.    Nwoye defected from the PDP to APC in May, 2016

 x.     Political opponents defer to him as an activist, a grass-roots mobiliser, and a consummate political strategist. Though young, he is deemed vastly experienced, purposeful and a team player, with very wide vertical reach. 

 xi.    Nwoye and the Uba brothers - Sen. Andy and Chris Uba - were once close political allies in the PDP.

 xii.   He is a businessman and has severally being linked as a associate of the multi-millionaire businessman and oil dealer, Chief Arthur Eze
