The presidential candidate of KOWA Party, Dr  Sina Fagbenro-Byron (SFB) Thursday warned that unless more structured and sustainable solutions are adopted in preventing environmental challenges, they could get worse in future.

SFB further proffered that one of such Solutions would be for the 36 States of the Federation to adopt the Sustainable Development Goal 11, SDG 11 as a priority.

“SDG 11 which is about making cities and human settlements inclusive, safe, resilient and sustainable has tools, targets and strategies which if adopted can ensure that Nigeria is better prepared for disaster risk reduction”, he argued.

SFB who addressed a pre-campaign state of the nation media parley, besides Environmental Challenges, listed consistent waves of violence in several parts of Nigeria, rising unemployment ratio, currently at 30% as grave national issues anyone in leadership position must attempt to address and proffer solutions to.

He lamented the frustration of Nigerians in the absence of proper conflict prevention and mediation options.

“Kowa Party and indeed myself will be most happy to support any governor or government in any peace building and conflict management processes that is put in place to put a stop to this sad tendencies “ he stressed.
