The movie, The Enemy I Know  which previewed Friday,October 4 at Nigeria's glitterrati rendevous, Transcorp Hilton, Abuja has set tongues wagging. Its not because of thematic focus, its star-studded parade, exotic cinematic quality or superb theatrical effects.

Big question is who is behind the movie alleged to have gulped over N160 million? Is this for eal in Nollywood?

The billionaire lawyer, politician, sports lover, Ned Nwoko is the rich Uncle. After occupying the lime lights for months following his romance and marriage to Nollywood star, Regina Daniel, it seems he is saying a big thank you to Nigeria's movie industry for his beautiful bride. And even a bigger thank you to his mother inlaw, Rita Daniel, a Nollywood veteran, and Producer of  The Enemy I Know.

Definitely, the movie is a grand gesture in the industry, and only a player, like Nwoko skilled in the subtleties of politics and theatrics of the law could have played this one.

The girl-child empowerment theme of the movie  might finally  be its breakthrough. Yes, Daniel focuses on this never ending topic, whose solution appears barely in sight in Nigeria. The movie, with its strength and target is elevating this societal  conversation with fresh perspectives and to a wider audience

 ”The movie conveys a relevant message about the issue of gender and inheritance. It touches on the rights of the female child", She explains.

Daniel further stressed that it also underlines the importance of preparing one’s will to avoid quarrels over property and assets over inheritance by surviving family members after one’s death.

The story sounds like someone's real life tale, but Daniel dismisses the notion its has to do with her in particular.

 She, however, agreed that you can’t rule out the effects of  female child inheritance rights palaver on  all of us.

She averred further that female child inheritance’s right remains a major issue in African societies including Nigeria.

”I believe the movie will take the Nigerian film industry some levels higher in terms of quality and relevance to societal experience,”

Daniel described her movie as a family story that affects every individual. Its about giving the girl child an equal opportunity with her male counterparts.  ”Who says a woman cannot be as good or even better than a man as the leader in the Country, community or home?, she queried

Director of the movie, Ozoemenam Nwakibie cautions that the N150million budget should not raise eye brows. "This movie is world class in terms of the stars featured, cinematic effects and directing. Nothing was spared to get the best available in the industry.

”The cost of producing a movie has to do with the quality and the settings
The shooting of the film with multiple quality cameras lasted for over three consecutive weeks. We went to great lengths to produce something really good and realistic, he maintained

What is in it for the cinema goer who just wants pure entertainment?
" We had him/her in mind because in this movie, we just made magic. The suspense
is seat gripping, and of course the viewer will not be left in puzzles, we paid
strict attention to details. But I still repeat the suspense is a heart beat stopper.
