The Commander Training and Doctrines Command, TRADOC,  Minna,  Niger State, Major  General Abubakar Adamu Tarfa has been recognised and  honoured with the  'Africa Meritorious Service Award for Good Conduct',  from International Free Media Organisation.

The International Free Media Organisation stated that Maj-Gen Tarfa was singled out for the honour for exhibiting a track record of exemplary professional conduct as an officer and a gentleman.

According to the organisation,  the Commander has consistently shown and maintained a high degree of accountability, probity and transparency in discharging his duties.

Presenting the award to him, in Minna, the Chief Executive Officer of the Organisation,  Ohis  Airende, said that the Commander got the award as a result of his extra-ordinary feats, courage, exemplary leadership and valour towards laudable successes  to national security.

Airende commended Officers and men of the Nigerian Army for the efforts they have shown on the issue of security and charged Nigerians to appreciate the successes so far recorded  by the army in protecting the territorial integrity of the country.

Responding, the Commander Training and Doctrines Command Minna,  Niger State, Major  General Abubakar Adamu Tarfa, assured Nigerians on continuous civil, Military relationship as part of efforts to overcome the challenge of insecurity.

Tarfa commended civilians for  the roles so far played in ensuring harmonious Nigerian Army/civillian community relations and the media in particular for  processing reliable information for Nigerians
