In a bid to curtail coronavirus  pandemic in the country, the  Mainstream Energy solutions Limited has donated medical equipments worth N500 million to Federal Capital Terretory FCT, Abuja, Niger, Kogi and Nasarawa.

The Head of Corporate Communication of the Company, Mr. Gbenga Adegbola, who made this known in Minna said it is part of their social responsibility

According to Adegbola, the company which owns the Shiroro, Kanji and Jebba hydro power plants and the Abuja Electricity  Distribution  Company  is extending its hands of magnanimity to the people of the  three states including FCT.

He said  the company decided to partner the three states and FCT, on the fight  against the rampaging  COVID-19.

He explained that, each of  the benefiting states and FCT is to receive one thousands  face mask 50 standard hospital beds,  and one ventilator each except,  University of Abuja Teaching Hospital, Gwagwalada  that will  get two ventilator. 

Receiving the  equipment onbehalf of the state government,  wife of the  Governor Dr. Amina Sani Bello who is also a medical doctor thank the donor for there  magnanimity in assisting the state government in the fight against Covid 19.

Dr.Bello said the equipment will go a long way in eguiping the  twelve  isolation  centres  identified by the state government. 

She further disclosed that, eventhough the state government has eguiped the  isolation centre at the Minna  General Hospital while, the Minna social rehabilitation centre  has been  converted to an additional  isolation centre should the need arise
