The dirge for Hon Solomon Ogunji still plays on. He was a 'fighter for democracy and good governance', says Hon Eziuche Ubani, in his condolence message to the family of the late Abia State Commissioner of Environment who passed on  weekend

Ubani, former editor and two-term member, House of Representatives in his message also commiserated with Abia State Governor Okezie Ikpeazu who described Ogunji's demise as the loss of a friendship of forty years.

Ubani, also Chairman of Saturn Communications Limited, owner of Magic 102.9 FM, and Ogunji were colleagues in the first term of Ikpeazu's administration

Ogunji according to Abia Government sources died  Saturday after a brief illness, relating to high blood pressure at the Abia State University Teaching Hospital in Aba.

He was a close political ally and confidant of the governor;  And was a member of the state’s Inter-Ministerial Committee on COVID-19.
