* Commissioner indicts lawmaker, Hon Ossy Prestige

By Tony Icheku

As Abians groans under the suffocating weight of misgovernance, sundry abuse of office and conspiratorial elites, a clergyman,  Reverend David Okechukwu has chosen to stand in the gap for them

Rev Okechukwu choosing to invoke both natural and spiritual intervention against inefficient and ineffective leadership opted to pray with his followers at Ohanku road, Aba, Abia State.

Ohanku road, one of the several deplorable roads in the States biggest city is always  flooded and impassable during rainy season. The road symbolises the wickedness and indifference of Abia political leadership to the welfare of the downtrodden.

Inviting the wrath of God from  Heaven upon the Abian oppressors, Rev Okechukwu and his parishioners fervently prayed God to come down and manifest his power.

In a reaction on the social media as pictures of the prayer session went viral, Abia State Commissioner for Information, Chief John Okiyi Kalu stated that the " road is among those in the N27.4 billion  World Bank Project recently awarded by the Abia Govt.

" I believe the prayer warrior must have heard that work is about to start...as we type,  contractors are creating alternative routes prior to commencement of full scale work on the major roads: Ngwa, Ohanku and Omuma etc," Kalu explained

The Commissioner also accused the legislator representing Aba North and South Federal Constituency, Hon. Ossy Prestige of APGA of being responsible for the deplorable State of the road. "By the way, that road was awarded by NDDC through an opposition politician and for 5 years nothing was done even after N1b was spent, according to NDDC records. I hope the Priest’s prayer will catch the NDDC’s contractor and his collaborators", he stated.

It will be recalled that on May 17, 2017, Hon Prestige invited the then Speaker of the House of Representative, Hon. Yakubu Dogara to commission the refurbished Ohanku road with fanfare.
