The suspects, Adamu Mohammed,  23, Usman Adamu, 2o, and Suleiman Babangida, 23 were arrested by the operatives of NSCDC following a tip-off.

It was learnt that the car owner, left his Honda Accord car with plate number AR 03 SF at the car park of Kure Ultra Modern market, Minna before it was stolen by the suspects.

Our correspondent gathered that the suspects allegedly stole the car from kure market and headed to Kagara in Rafi Council where they were picked up by the operatives.

One of the suspects,  Mohammed told our correspondent that he had been involved in car theft for only once as a result of financial constraints .

"I am financially incapacitated that I don't know what to do than to join my accomplices to make quick money to survive. I usually relied on informants for information on targeted cars in the area of our operations, he said.

According to him,   “We operate along the Minna-Kagara - kontangora road; depending on the location of the vehicle, we steal cars by using our own fabricated  key to unlock them."

The Public Relations Officer of the Command, Nasir Abdullahi, explained that the suspects were arrested after a tip-off, adding that a car  and 96 pieces of clothes worth N400,000 was recovered from them.
