 A civil activist, chief Patrick Eholor has advised the Inspector General of police, Mohammed Idris to as  a matter of agency look into the eformation of the Nigerian Police force so as to make their welfare comparable with other police force in the world.

 Eholor made this assertion on Saturday in Benin City while speaking with journalists.
 He described as an embarrassment to Nigeria that its Police  carry  out their duty without  proper kits.

" how do you image a police man without bullet proof vest, no shoes, no baton,just on the road with riffle.

"They move around setting up unnecessary road blocks when the Inspector General of Police has told us no more roadblocks
He said, severally  the policemen sent out every day complain of no vehicle or if there is any they will tell you no fuel.

On the situation in the Correctional Centre, the civil activist complain of the poor position. 

He said , even in the present Covid 19 epidemic ravaging the world the warders and  wardens are not  protected, stressing that " Correctional Centres should be de conjested to avoid over crowding of inmates within the centres." 

 Eholor used the occasion to advise  the youths in Edo state to  keep themselves out of violence as the governorship election draws near.
