THE Police Command in Niger State has arrested two persons for alleged criminal conspiracy and culpable homicide in Minna, the state capital.

The command’s Public Relations Officer, Assistant Superintendent of Police Wasiu Abiodun , disclosed this in a statement on Saturday, in Minna.

Abiodun said that on June 24, 2020, Police Operatives attached to Special Armed Robbery Squad, SARS, Minna arrested  Abdulkadir Ibrahim,25 and Abubakar Idris, 29 following a tip off.

He said they conspired among themselves and lured one Hauwa  Saidu18, of Fulani camp Kpada village via Patigi Kwara State to Effa village Lavun  Local Government Area where she was attacked and killed by the suspects with their cutlass.

The spokesman said that some parts of the deceased body were taken away to unknown destination while the remaining parts of her body was abandoned in the bush.

He said that the the operatives recovered the remaining parts of the deceased body from the suspects, adding that they confessed to the crime.

He however reassured members of public that police will continue the onslaught to stem the tide of criminal conspiracy in the state.

Abiodun said the case would be charged to court after investigation.
