Abia state governor Okezie Ikpeazu who Saturday, January 23, 2021 sacked the entire Executive Council has recalled three Commissioners including the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Mr Uche Ihediwa, Commissioner for Information, Chief John Okiyi Kalu, and the Commissioner for Health, Dr Joe Osuji.

He also  recalled the Secretary to State Government,  Mr Chris Ezem

 About three hours to after the sack of the entire cabinet was announced, the recalled SSG, Chris Ezem issued a press statement stating that pursuant to the earlier announced dissolution of the state executive council, the Governor has directed that the previous announcement exempts "Commissioner for Information, Chief John Okiyi Kalu, and the Commissioner for Health, Dr Joe Osuji"

The release stated that: "They are to continue performing the duties of their office along with Barr Chris Ezem"
