"Indeed, an iroko tree has fallen",  lamented Rep Sam Onuigbo on Sunday while expressing his condolences to  the family of Chief Uche Francis Mpamah, aka Ohamadike who passed on early in the day.

Onuigbo, representing Ikwuano/Umuahia North/South in the House of Representatives stated that no words can best convey the devastation felt in his soul at the huge loss of the politician who he described as his brother, and "one of the pioneer politicians from my own village of Obuohia Obi-Ibere"

"I received with immense sadness, this morning, the news of the death of my brother, Chief Uche Francis Mpamah(Ohamadike). There are no words that can best convey the devastation I feel in my soul at this huge loss to not only his immediate family, but to the entire people of Obuohia Obi-Ibere, Ibere Clan, Ikwuano, and indeed Abia State", Rep Onuigbo stated in his condolence message to the immediate family, the people of Obuohia Obi-Ibere and Ikwuano

Ohamadike was a former Commissioner of Sports in Abia State, a one-time elected Chairman of Ikwuano Local Government Area, a former Senior Special Adviser to the Governor of Abia State, Dr Okezie Victor Ikpeazu.

The lawmaker who prayed God, in His infinite mercy, to grant his loved ones the strength to come to terms with the loss added that him and his  family are devastated by the loss, "but we must bow to the superior will of God" he remarked in the message he personally signed.
