The Ikwuano Local Government Area, LGA, Abia State,  chapter of the All Progressives Congress, APC Saturday elected its Executive Officers at its Local Government congress with former LG secretary, Mr  Ogbonnaya Mbakwe emerging as the Chairman.

The LG congress which held at APC LG secretariat, Isiala - Oboro,  Ikwuano LGA headquarters attracted  party stalwarts and chieftains in the LG party chapter.

Other officers who emerged at the congress include Messrs Kingsley Iwo and Okechukwu Agu respectively as Vice-Chairman and Secretary

The congress was witnessed by  by three INEC Observer Team including Kelechi Okameme; Chiamaka Happiness and Tony Nwajagu. The DPO for Ikwuano, Mr Nicholas Ewoh and Mr Roland Ogamba of the DSS also observed the congress

The APC Observer Team  comprising Philomena Ukwuegbu and Lolo Josephine Chukwu was led by Col Emeka Chilaka (rtd).

In his remarks after the congress, Rep Sam Onuigbo described the process as  " a hugely successful and peaceful exercise.  This process is intended to set the party on a new beginning in its quest to take over Government House of Abia State come 2023"

Onuigbo, representing Ikwuano/Umuahia North and South Federal Constituency further urged members of the party to unite and work for the success of the party.

Also speaking at the occasion former member, House of Representative, Hon Emeka Atuma in his remarks urged the party members to work with one heart in order to achieve victory for the party in 2023.
