Abia State Governor Okezie Ikpeazu will on Tuesday,  Oct 26, 2021, swear in 27 Commissioners designate at  the Michael Okpara Auditorium, Government House, Umuahia, by 2pm

Secretary to State Government， Mr Chris Ezem states that immediately after the inauguration， the Commissioners and other members of the State Executive Council will proceef for their first Council meeting at the Exco Chambers of Government House, Umuahia by 3.30pm, same day.

It will be recalled that Gov Ikpeazu in January， 2021 sacked the Executive Council retaining the Commissioners of Information， Health and th Commissioner for Justice and Attorney-General.

He later appointed Commissioners for Works and Finance.

The governor on Sept 12， 2021 announced 27 Commissioners-designate and forwarded their names for screening to the Abia State House of Assembly.

Amongst the incoming Commissioners includes a former Super Eagles striker， Karibi Ojigwe and former Speaker of the House of Assembly， Hon Christopher Enwerenmadu

A cross section of views in Abia describes the exercise is a routine re-cycling of political jobbers and cronies。
