Rotary International recently rolled out the red carpet to honour Rotarians, Rotaractors and persons who had supported the Rotary Foundation in the outgoing year.

Standing shoulders tall amongst the honorees was the businessman cum philanthropist, Rtn. Dr. Chukwuemeka Onyenucheya whose passion and love for humanity was again made a song and dance of.

Dr Onyenucheya was inducted into Rotary International and also decorated as a Paul Harris Fellow in appreciation of his support to the Rotary Foundation.

While inducting Rtn. Dr. Onyenucheya, Rtn. Grace Okaro, District Governor- Elect, Rotary International District 9142 stressed that “It’s not every time that a Rotarian is inducted in a district function, not to talk of being inducted by the First Female District Governor- Elect of our Rotary District 9142 as a Paul Harris Fellow of the Rotary Foundation.” 

The event was the climax of the Rotary Foundation Seminar and Dinner, an event  positioned as a platform to celebrate and appreciate  Rotarians, Rotaractors and Guests for their support to The Rotary Foundation. 

Among those  recognized  and decorated include  PAG Ileka Paul Chukwuebuka , who was decorated as a Major Donor and Benefactor of the Rotary Foundation; PAG Adesegun Tijani was recognized and decorated as a Second Level Major Donor of the Rotary Foundation. 

Rtn.  Onyenucheya, speaking to the Press on the sidelines of  the event thanked Rotary International for finding him worthy to be so honored. "Indeed Rotary is where great causes are nurtured and sustained"!, he enthused.
