Saturday, December 11, 2021 was a day of glory for Abia state Commissioner for Trade and Investment,  Chief John Okiyi Kalu as the Paramount Ruler of Abiriba Ancient Kingdom,  Eze Kalu Ogbu (IV) and the Enachioken-in-Council conferred on him  the chieftaincy title: Nwa Ndugbom Abiriba

 The event was part of the  celebration of Eze Ogbu IV's 21st coronation anniversary.

The event attracted people and friends of  Abiriba from far and near places, including the Speaker, Abia State House of Assembly,  Rt Hon Chinedum Orji, the Abia State Commissioner of Police, the Deputy Chairman, Ikwuano LGA, Hon Cookey Lordson, and several others

In a message congratulating Chief Kalu, the Speaker described him as “one of the best”, noting that he has over time demonstrated competence, loyalty and astute excellence in every duty under his mandate, and that the chieftaincy title conferred on him is a testament to his virtues.
