Abia state chapter of the  Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has zoned the governorship ticket to Abia Central Senatorial District and Abia North Senatorial district

In a press release, the State Chairman Hon Allwell Asiforo Okere says the party arrived at its decision  after due consultations with elders and stakeholders of the party including the tour of the 17 LGAs.

While briefing newsmen at the party secretariat in Umuahia after their meeting, the Publicity Secretary of Abia PDP,Chief Fabian Nwankwo, said the decision was taken to douse tension, adding that the party observed that most governorship hopefuls are  coming from the two zones.

Nwankwo further urged all those from the above mentioned zones who are interested in the guber position to  liaise with the party for presentation to the State Elder's Committee between Saturday March 26, 2022 and latest  March 30, 2022.
