The factional  State Chairman of the All Progressive Congress (APC),  in Abia State, Hon Acho Obioma, says the party has nine card-carrying aspirants  contesting for the 2023 Abia governorship seat

Obioma made the remarks  when he received the Minister of State for Mines and Steel Development, Dr Uche  Ogah at the APC State Secretariat,  Umuahia,  Friday.

Ogah was in the party’s Azikiwe Road Secretariat  to inform the Abia leadership of his intention to vie for the office of the Governor of Abia State in the 2023 general elections in the country.

Obioma further  announced that the party leadership will meet with all the nine governorship aspirants next week Tuesday to finetune modalities for the forthcoming primaries and reach a decision how  to ensure the success of in the 2023 elections in the state.

Obioma  maintained that there is no crack in the state leadership of the APC and reiterated that the party remained intact and will come out from the primaries as one family

Obioma, a former member of the  House of Representatives, urged the party members to disregard the shenanigans of few disloyal party members, and continue to work harmoniously towards deepening the overwhelming acceptability and popularity of the APC among the majority of Abia citizens.
