The Deputy Chairman of Ikwuano Local Government Area, Hon. Cokey L. Nwachukwu  Friday announced his aspirations to contest the election to represent  Ikwuano State Constituency at the Abja State House of Assembly in 2023.

"With humility I present myself to you and appeal for your support and prayers that will make the project a dream come true", Hon Nwachukwu appealed to the Executives, stakeholders and members of the PDP  Ibere Ward 2, maintaining  that he has the capacity and ability  to bring home "the dividends of democracy, the needed change and development that will elevate Ikwuano to  lofty height in all sectors of the economy.

He further argued that he is "... qualified and available to represent , fit and competent to speak for Ndi Ikwuano

"I shall bring quality and effective representation, protect and defend the interest and needs of Ikwuano people at the State level at all times

" I will empower our women, youths  and our fathers, and would  also sponsor bills that will affect and touch the lives of our people positively”, he affirmed

" I have been here with you since 2014 I joined politics and everything I have gotten, I always share with you, I don’t have money but I have you people and count on your support and your vote”, he added.

He also officially  presented his Nomination and Expression of Interest  forms to the party.

Speaking at the occasion, a PDP Stalwart,  Chief Ibelachi Ibelachi urged the party Delegates in Ibere ward 2 to reach out to other delegates and mobilise  support for Hon. Cokey Nwachukwu.


Similarly,  the LGA treasurer of the party, Mrs Ijeoma Oriaku described Hon Nwachukwu's  aspiration  as a divine mandate and promised to take the message to all units of the party in the LGA
