Hon Emeka Atuma


Hon Emeka Atuma  is already a household name in Abia Central geo-political zone where he comes from on account of his various empowerment programmes including road networks criss-crossing communities, but the former member of the House of Representatives says it is the questions that the  future generations would ask that is driving his aspirations to emerge governor of Abia State.

"I decided to run for governor of Abia, so that tomorrow I can boldly tell my children and generations yet unborn that I did all I could to right the wrongs of yester-years", the former lawmaker said over the weekend.

" I know I have the capacity to turn things around, and I have been doing that, but as the chief executive of Abia State, I can do much more and faster too," he added 

Speaking before a gathering of All Progressive Congress, APC leaders,  stakeholders and members at his Ntalakwu-Oboro, Ikwuano LG country home, he described his motives in joining the governorship race as promptings  by his vision for an Abia that  fulfils the yearnings of Abians; And his capacity and ability to right the wrongs of yester-years.

 "A lot of things have  gone wrong in our beloved State, and for the sake of our children and generations yet unborn,  we need to contribute our all  to right these wrongs.

"I have  the capacity, the ability, the creativity needed to take Abia to the next level.

"My aspiration is motivated by compassion and innovation. My commitment is to deliver a legacy of service to our people. Our people says a good name is better than gold...if today, I fail to contribute in the building of a better Abia what legacy would I leave for our children and generations yet unborn?

"My politics has always been one of competence, creativity and dynamism, I am not running based on zoning, my vision as governor of Abia is a State that places the welfare of the people as its number one priority, a State that is in the forefront of wealth creation for its people, a State that uses its wealth for the betterment of all", Hon Atuma affirmed.
