Speaker of Abia State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Engr Chinedum Orji Friday urged christians  to pray fervently for the nation and her leaders while speaking at the ongoing Second Session, Tenth Synod of the Anglican Church, Diocese of Umuahia.

In his remarks during the event which held  at St Andrew’s Anglican Church, Nsukwe/Amibo Ubakala North Archdeaconry, the lawmaker charged the Church to continue to stand on the path of truth at all times and live out the virtues of Christ.

He further congratulated the entire clergy and members of the Anglican Church, Diocese of Umuahia on the special occasion of their Synod and wished them a happy and successful deliberation.

The Abia Speaker further  pledged to generously support the reconstruction, reinforcement and remodelling of the collapsed Cathedral’s building at Saint Stephen’s Church, Umuahia.

Those who graced the occasion includes the Deputy Speaker Abia State House of Assembly,  Hon Ifeanyi  Uchendu, Secretary to the State Government, Mr Chris Ezem, Minister of State for Mines and Steel Development, Dr Sampson  Ogah, clergymen and other dignitaries.
