The Speaker who is contesting for Ikwuano/Umuahia North/South Federal Constituency seat expressed delight at the turn out of the party delegates and stakeholders when he landed in Umuahia South LGA. He described it as encouraging and a clear indication of his general acceptance by them.
“I am here to intimate you on my next political move which is to represent the good and hardworking people of Ikwuano/Umuahia North/South in the House of Representatives. My ambition is not borne out of personal aspiration but to continue to consolidate on my numerous efforts to bring development to our people”, he said.
The Speaker assured the delegates of his preparedness and readiness to change the narrative of the Federal Constituency for the better.
Among those who received him include the Chairman of Umuahia South LGA, Hon Humphrey Benson, and the Leader of the Legislative Council, Hon Dennis Okorie. The thanked the Speaker for his visit, and assured him of their unalloyed support and also wished him well in his aspiration.
The Speaker had earlier paid homage to the former State Chairman of the PDP, Sir Tony Ukasanya and the Chairman of PDP's Stakeholders in Umuahia South, Pastor Emeka Inyama, in their respective country homes.
Members of the Campaign Council led by Pastor Inyama accompanied the Speaker during the visit.
