Prof Greg Ibe |
The Pro Chancellor of Gregory University, Professor Greg Ibe, Sunday polled 283 votes to emerge the governorship candidate of APGA.
His closest rival, Etigwe Uwa, SAN trailed behind with 148 votes, while Sir Chikwe Udensi and Gen. Ijioma N. Ijioma, rtd respectively polled 22 and 36 votes.
The APGA governorship election took place at Kolpin Society in Umuahia, Abia State.
While Mr Uwa accepted the outcome of the primary and congratulated Prof Ibe, Gen. Ijioma alleged that the process was rigged and that he does not believe that only Bende LGA delegates voted for him after his mobilization of delegates with 5 buses to the election venue.
He threatened to seek redress on the issues
