Gov Okezie Ikpeazu

PDP chieftain in Abia State and former Commissioner for  Local Government and Chieftaincy  Affairs, Chief Charles  Ogbonna  has dismissed the reactions of Abia State Commissioner for Information, Mr  Eze Chikamnayo to his disclosures as mere castigations of his personality which has neither refuted nor addressed the points raised.

According to Chief Ogbonna,
Governor Okezie Ikpeazu should tell Abians why the Ministry of  Local Government and Chieftaincy  Affairs, cannot pay salaries and pensions  now that it is receiving about N2-N3 billion/monthly.

According to the former Commissioner when the Ministry was receiving about N1.2 billion or even N800 million it was able to pay salaries and pensions.

Chief Ogbonna maintained that the Abia Government should refute his claims, that he will then raise it other  critical questions regarding the poor performance of the Ikoeazu-led administration

He affirmed that the Ikpeazu administration has performed woefully and the Abia PDP had nothing to campaign with why they  should be voted for again. "I am saying it emphatically that this administration has not performed".

He further frowned at the unfolding development which he described as an attempt by Gov Ikpeazu to unlaterily impose his successor on Abians. According to him the delegates should repeat the Ebonyi phenomenom where the handpicked successor of former Martin Elechi was defeated in the primaries, paving way for Governor Dave Umahi I'm
