The call for the sack of Abia PDP's State chairman, Hon Alwel Asiforo Okere took a frightening dimension as placard-wielding protesters stormed the secretariat of the PDP demanding for the sack of Okere.

The  group of protesters under the aegis of Concerned Abia PDP Youths  Tuesday  May 3,  2022 stormed the Finbarr's Road State secretariat of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP Abia State Chapter.


The  leader of the group,  Comrade O'Brien said  their grievances  include but not limited to the ward 3-man ad-hoc delegate election which was earlier  for today.

The youths demanded to know when the forms for the delegates election was sold and why they were kept in the dark regarding the processes.

In his response, the state chairman  Hon Asiforo Okere stated that the delegate forms where sold in Abuja,  that it is the National Secretariat that sold the forms!

The leader of the protest queried that if it is true that forms where sold, why  was it never advertised. According to him,  the people were  not aware of the process and accused the chairman for not protecting the interest of the party.

He questioned  why House of Assembly forms where sold in Abia state while the  delegate forms worth N10,000 will be sold in Abuja.
