Abia Online Media Practitioners Association of Nigeria, OMPAN Sunday appealed to Abians and residents in the State to obtain their Permanent Voter’s Card to elect credible candidates in the  2023 General Elections.


In a press release signed by OMPAN Chairman and Secretary, Chief Paddy Anyatonwu and Steve Unegbu respectively, Abians were told that voting for credible candidates would ensure that their dreams and aspirations are attained, and only citizens with PVC can vote.


The Association urged  Abians, who had exhibited voter apathy in the past mend their ways  reminding them that they cannot sit on the fence and expect that needed change.


“Everyone who is 18 and above should get their PVCs because it is very important in shaping our future and those of our children. The forthcoming elections give us the right to exercise our powers as citizens".


The Association further noted  that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) had improved the electoral process to reduce  rigging and other malpractices to the barest minimum
