APC Abia Central Senate hopeful, Hon Emeka Atuma  on Monday counselled  Ikwuano Youths to break the chain bonding them with the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP since 1999 as it has only brought under-development and infrastructural decline to the Local Government Area, LGA. 


"PDP hates Ikwuano the most",  the former House of Representatives member told members of  Ikwuano Youths Leaders Forum during an interactive session which held at Umuigu-Oboro in Ajata-n-Igu Autonomous Community of the LGA


He maintained that the PDP had consistently denied Ikwuano LGA opportunities  which would have contributed to her socio-economic development, and told the youths not to be distracted by the peanuts PDP dishes out to voters during elections: "What you need is human resources be and capital development, and not the peanuts dangled before you during elections. Do not be deceived", he stressed.


Atuma, during the session also told the youths not to be distracted by the controversy over who is APC's candidate for Abia Central Senatorial district. Urging the youths to be patient as events unfold, he declared that "We will not allow others to cause confusion in our party and deny APC the seat.


 The former lawmaker who has gained popularity for embarking on several inter-comnunity roads in the LGA promised that all clans in Ikwuano will see asphalted roads even before he goes to the Senate.  "I will do 32 roads in Ikwuano  before  I enter the Senate.


"I am coming to offer the people of Abia Central Senatorial district, quality and quantitative representation", he declared 


Earlier, in his remarks, the National President of the Forum, Comrade Agomuo Santiago told the Senatorial hopeful that Ikwuano youths support and would work towards the realization of his ambition as he has consistently pursued pro-youths and pro-development in his political career 


"We know you, we know what you stand for and what you can do, therefore we would partner and work with you towards realisation of your Senatorial ambition", Santiago proffered.

The occasion which attracted youths leaders from all the clans in Ikwuano was was attended by APC chieftains and leaders including former State Chairman of the party, Hon Donatus Nwankpa

The ceremony which attracted youths leaders from all the clans in the LGA was also graced by the former State Secretary of APC, Donatus Nwankpa and other party chieftains.
