Sheikh Gumi

 A civil society organization, the Peace and Anti-Corruption Advocacy, PACA Thursday urged the Department of State Service, DSS to beam it's investigation thoroughly on the Islamic cleric, Sheikh Gumi as his recent utterances indicates he has some useful information that may enhance the search for security in the Country


In a Press Conference in Abuja, the National Coordinator, of PACA Comrade James Okoronkwo  stated as follows:


"The attention of Peace and Anti-Corruption Advocacy has been drawn to the campaign of calumny by Sheikh Gumi against the Department of State Security Service (DSS) since Tukur Mamu, his media aide was arrested by the DSS following incriminating evidence that linked him to recent security infractions in the country".


He  advised Sheikh Gumi to toe the path of patriotism and reason lamenting that Sheikh Gumi has been making incendiary statements against the  DSS  since Tukur Mamu was arrested,  in worship centres and other religious gatherings and must be called to order by the authorities.


The group further stated that from his perverse utterances it appears that Sheikh Gumi has something to hide. The group urged the DSS to beam its searchlight on Sheikh Gumi because of his unholy friendship with bandits.


 Continuing, the group noted that as a patriotic and responsive civil rights movement, we condemn in totality Sheikh Gumi's tirade against the DSS and advises him to come clean on  his dalliance with the vermins that have wrecked havoc on peace and security in Nigeria. 


Concluding, the group urged  Sheikh Gumi to support the agencies in their patriotic endeavour to restore lasting peace and security in our country
