The Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC on Friday advised motorists travelling to the South-West  through Lokoja,  to avoid Lokoja and to go  through Suleja-Bida-Mokwa road, while those travelling to the South-South/South-East regions were also advised to go through Nasarawa-Oweto Bridge-Adoka-Otukpa axis.

The FRSC's  Corps Public Education Officer, Assistant Corps Marshal Bisi Kazeem in a statement explains that the diversion became necessary as owing to the flooding around Kortonkarfi in Lokoja, Kogi State, the free flow of traffic on the Lokoja-Abuja Expressway has been impeded for the last three  days, and  the water level may take another two or more days to subside.
