Abia State Governor Okezie Victor Ikpeazu  on Friday,  Jan. 13, 2023 inaugurated the new  Abia State Independent Electoral Commission (ABSIEC) at the Executive Council Chambers, Government House Umuahia


Members of the Commission include:
1) Prof. Mkpa Agu Mkpa - Chairman (Subsisting Tenure)
2) Prince Dan Okoli - Commissioner
3) Onyebinanma S. Onyebinanma - Commissioner
4) Dan Onwutuebe- Commissioner
5) Henry Okachie Okere- Commissioner
6) Enyinnaya Ezeri - Commissioner
7) Mrs Precious Achumba - Commissioner
8) Onyekachi Ebere Prince - Secretary

Ikpeazu, speaking during the swearing-in ceremony,  urged the new commissioners to  ensure credibility and accountability in the business of the Commission.


Abia  deputy governor, Hon Udeh Okochukwu, plus several PDP  stalwarts witnessed the swearing in ceremony.
