Abia State governorship hopeful, Chief Eric Opah was on Thursday cleared by the Abia State Governorship Screening Committee for the governorship primary scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 4, 2023 at Umuahia Township Stadium.
Chief Opah during an interactive session with newsmen at PDP National Secretariat, Wadata Plaza, Abuja after his clearance described the exercise as a boost to his vision to chart a new course for Abia and her people.
He proffered that Abia craves massive infrastructural and socio-economic development, stressing that, if elected as the party's flag bearer, and he emerges as the governor, that Abia will join the league of States whose infrastructure is top-notch.
Opah, an entrepreneur who hails from Mbubo-Nsulu in Isiala Ngwa North, LGA urged the delegates to vote for him maintaining that the unity, progress and future of the party would be determined by the direction of their votes
He commended the screening committee for demonstrated a high level of transparency during the screening exercise, stressing that democracy has indeed come to stay in Nigeria.
