HRM, Eze Amaechi Kelvin Ugwueje

An American trained Nurse, His Royal Majesty, Eze Amaechi Kelvin Ugwueje has been enthroned as the newest Traditional Ruler of Isiama Afaraukwu Ibeku autonomous Community in Umuahia North area of Abia .


His enthronement followed the demise of HRM Eze Isreal Okwu Kanu, the father of the leader of Indigenious People of Biafra,Mazi Nnamdi Kanu who was the traditional ruler of the ancient kingdom.


The newest Royal father who is in his early fifties expressed proud and honoured to occupy the royal stool of his autonomous community stressing that his selection was after thorough appraisal of all contestants,he was chosen by the State Government as the best among equals.


The American trained Nurse also commended other contestants for putting up  good fight for the throne but said that since it is only one person will occupy it at a time and having been considered most suitable,they should work with him, bring their ideas in order to take their autonomous Community to next level of development.


To this end,he promised to extend his olive branch to anyone that is aggrieved, noting that this will give room for peaceful co-existence so as to ensure the overall development of their Afaraukwu Ibeku autonomous Community with one United mind.


Meanwhile,with the enthronement of Eze Amaechi Kelvin Ugwueje as the Egwukwu the third,the newest Traditional Ruler of Isiama Afaraukwu Ibeku given staff of office by the Abia State Government along side other thirty(30) traditional Rulers in the state,this move has put to rest the stiff struggle for the throne and it's attendant tension occasioned by hot contest among three aspirants who indicated interest to the exalted throne.


Scores of the Afaraukwu who spoke to our Correspondent under the condition of anonymity expressed delight in the choice of the youthful traditional ruler,Eze Amaechi Ugwueje to succeed Mazi Nnamdi Kanu's late father who until his death was traditional ruler of Isiama Afaraukwu in Umuahia North area of the state after one year mandatory mourning period of their late king, Eze Isreal Okwu Kanu.


In an interview with our Correspondent, Thursday evening in Umuahia at his Ndagbo Isiama Afaraukwu Ibeku autonomous Community, Umuahia,two days shortly after ascending the throne of his forefathers,Eze Amaechi Ugwueje however commended his community and government for the confidence reposed in him by choosing him among the array of other qualified contestants promising not to disappoint them.


Eze Amarachi Ugwueje who  was educated in America as a nurse where he practiced internationally as a registered nurse, revealed that he has various companies in Healthcare and Communications however promised to bring his wealth of experience to bear in the rulership of his autonomous Community in order to even growth and development. 


Isiama Afaraukwu being strategically located near Abia State Government House, added that as the landlord housing seat of power in Umuahia, Ojukwu Bunker, Old and New Presidential Lodge, Golden Guinea Breweries etc expect the Government to come to the aid of the host autonomous Community through regular creation of  job opportunities for the teeming youths  and other amenities  that would give the people a sense of belonging.


Eze Ugwueje further explained that his aim to create a very strong  community Development wherein potentials of the youths will be tapped to the fullest by bringing the best in them.


He pointed out the youths lacks the necessary encouragement that will exposed them to blossom to the current needs of present day society, while reiterating his resolve to carry everybody along in the overall growth and development of his Autonomous Community.
