The immediate past Minister of Science,  Technology, and Innovation, Chief Henry Ikoh has hearkened to the cry of his constituents over the soaring prices of foodstuffs and related household consumables occasioned by the removal of fuel subsidy and rising inflation 



As a short term measure to relieve his constituents of  shock of the subsidy removal which was removed without notice, Chief Ikoh over the weekend doled out foodstuff, household consumables and farming implements to women in his Ikwueke community in Ikwuano LGA of Abia State 




The women, comprising the elderly, and  widows all trooped out in their numbers to the expansive home of the former Minister, Ahuwa - Oboro where the foodstuffs were presented to them by Chief (Mrs) Ikoh



Some of the foodstuffs presented to the people include rice, beans, garri, vegetable oil, indomie noodles, tomato puree amongst others



Dailyledger.ng.com gathered that the youths would also be presented with empowerment materials like barbing kits, sewing machines, grinding machines and other items.


Also earmarked for distribution includes bags of cement, roofing materials, foam, pillows and blankets, plus buckets amongst  others for those whose homes were affected by the heavy rains

The women who were full of appreciation made an outpouring of prayers and supplication to God  for Chief Ikoh who did not wait for election to extend his generousity to them.



Led by their  Woman Leaders,  they prayed for protection for him and family, more opportunities and promotion in every sphere  of his his life, work and family.
