In accordance with the government’s policy initiative on youth in the country, the Federal Ministry of Sports and Youth Development has announced a call for applications from qualified candidates for a 3-month Work Experience Programme (WEP).


According to a statement by Mohammed Manga, the Director of Press and Public Relations at the ministry, interested candidates must be graduates, with or without completion of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) programme.


Additionally, candidates must be under 30 years of age as of December 31, 2023.


The statement said further that the preferred fields of study include Mechanical Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Biochemistry, Microbiology, and other related Science and Technology courses.


Administrative positions such as Business Administration, Accounting, and other relevant Management/Social Sciences fields were also eligible to apply, it added.


“The application deadline is July 30, 2023. Interested candidates are advised to submit their applications through the following link: https://forms.gle/5FEJNZnVrSLXJgxJ8.
The Ministry also highlights that the Work Experience Programmes (WEP) provide tangible benefits, enabling participants to improve their lives and opportunities.


“It also creates avenues for networking with potential employers while benefiting from short-term training opportunities,” the statement said.
