Dr Alex Otti and Ishionwu |
The youth activist and influencer, Chika 'Omenanwata' Ishionwu on Tuesday slammed persons behind anti-Otti rhetorics especially on the social media", describing them as the real enemies of Abians
In an exclusive interview with Dailyledger.com.ng, Ishionwu maintained that the steps taken so far by Abia State Governor Alex Otti shows that the era of mediocrity, backwardness and business as usual in the State is over.
"There are clear indications that the days of backwardness and mediocrity in Ikwuano LGA and Abia State are now firmly behind us. We are on the right track, and I have never been more convinced of that."
Ishionwu who analysed the composition of the recently inaugurated State Executive Council and other appointments made by the Otti administration, gave it thumbs up
He applauded the Otti-led administration for its commitment to appointing capable individuals with requisite skills, experience, and capacity to drive meaningful change in the State as it heals from the maladministation and corrupt practices of the ousted PDP government.
Ishionwu urged Gov Otti to continue the practice of using competence and skill as a yardstick for appointments to the MDAs stressing the importance of credibility in achieving the new Abia that the LP worked tirelessly for.
"It is obvious that only competent, credible leaders are needed to continue the developmental efforts under Dr Otti's administration," Ishionwu asserted confidently.
Ishionwu, who mobilises fellow youths with the hashtag: 'for us by us', FUBU urged not only the youths but also every well-meaning progressives especially from his Ikwuano LGA to rally behind the Otti-led government.
He emphasized the importance of unity and urged the people to embrace the FUBU ideology he has consistently advocated for, proffering that by standing together and supporting the Otti administration, they can collectively bring about the desired positive transformation in the State.
"My confidence in the Dr Alex Otti-led administration remains unwavering as even the blind can now differentiate light from darkness. Definitely, the days of backwardness in our Ikwuano LG, as well as the entire Abia State, are now firmly behind us. I see Dr Otti surrounding himself with competent, well-meaning individuals in his appointments to the MDAs. I see an altruistic individual at work, therefore I am urging well-meaning individuals, especially my fellow youths, to actively support the government's initiatives. By so doing, we can build a better and brighter future for Ikwuano and Abia State as a whole", he submitted
