Protesting Nigerian workers on Wednesday, August 2, 2023 pulled down the entrance gate of the National Assembly Complex il and forced their way in


The protesters led by the leaders of the organised labour, Joe Ajaero and Festus Osifo, respectively of the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC and  Trade Union Congress, TUC on getting to the Complex's first gate were refused entry by the security officials forcing the angry protesters to  pull down the gate and  move to the second gate of the Assembly Complex.


The NLC, TUC and affiliate unions, today, began a protest in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja, and other States of the Federation including Lagos, Abia, Plateau, Kaduna, Kano, Rivers, Zamfara, Katsina, Cross River, Ebonyi, Enugu, Kwara, Ogun, Imo, Ondo, and Edo.


The workers protesting against the hike prices of commodities and rising inflation spiralling out of control took off from  the Unity Fountain marched to the NASS Complex.
