Comrade Osinachi Nwaka

Multi-millionaire business tycoon and philanthropist, Comrade Osinachi Nwaka says anyone who desires to rise from grass to grace must embrace  "resilience' as it's a mandatory skill anyone seeking upward  mobility in  his/her vocation or career must cultivate or remain stagnant.

"Resilience is a major intra-personal skill revealing that man must undergo  metamorphosis from the base of poverty, from  the base of loneliness, from the base of the downtrodden and rise to success and prosperity.  It's like the birth of a baby and it's growth to adulthood", he declared.

Nwaka, Founder/President of New Era Foundation, a pro-wealth creation and empowerment non-governmental organisation further maintained that life swings back and forth like a pendulum, but only the resilient one pushes ahead. He also  urged the youths to reckon with the days of small beginnings; To eschew crime, social vices,  short-cuts or positioning themselves as  competitors with anyone in the quest for success

The New Era Foundation boss made the remarks when he featured as the Guest Speaker  over the weekend at a lecture on 'Skill Acquisition and Empowerment' organised by the  National Ibere Youths Association, NIYA, with the theme: 'Green Skills for Youths: Towards a Sustainable World', which held at Ngwugwo-Ibere in Ikwuano LGA of Abia State.

Nwaka,  affirming that he is poised to break the chains of poverty wherever he encounters such, assured the youths that he would work with them to actualise their potentials:  “Let me assure the youths of Ibere that I will not let you down. All you need to do is to be of good conduct. Once you are of good conduct, bring whatever concept you have, even if  I don’t solve all, I know I’ll solve 50%", he promised.

He continues: “Like I said, I hate poverty with passion and anywhere I see it, I’ll just pull it out. Just be of good behaviour. Make sure that the PG of your village knows you; Make sure that the Traditional Ruler  of your village knows you; Make sure that the President of Youths knows you; Make sure that the community leaders  from Ibere clan knows you. Then, leave the rest for me", he assured them

Delving into the specifics of the day's theme, Nwaka used the traffic light to drive home his points. He likened the destructive elements in society to the red colour of the traffic light  as their actions and intentions are destructive and inimical to the progress of their community. Those he likened to the yellow colour fluctuates between the extremes of destructive behaviours of those in the class of the red light and the  progressive, healthy actions of those in the class of the green light

Those in the class of the green light, he explained  contributes towards a safe and healthier, sustainable society and environment

Dailyledger.com.ng reports that Nwaka, a Lagos-based business tycoon was in the frontline of Abia progressives who aligned with the Dr Alex Otti-led Labour Party, LP  to deliver Abia State from the locust years of the PDP which ruled State for 24 years leaving widespread poverty and collapsed infrastructure behind.  And NIYA in appreciation of the role he played  conferred the honour and award  of ‘Ray Of Hope For Ibere Youths’ describing it as their profound gratitude to him  for abandoning his comfort zone to champion the struggle for a better society

Presenting the plaque to him, the President-General Ibere Clan Development Union Federated,  ICDUF, Elder Chief Mezie Uzuegbu, proffered that the reward for great work is more work.

The PG commended Nwaka for  his outstanding generousity to the people of Ikwuano LGA using the network of his recently inaugurated  New Era Foundation.

“We have seen something special in you; We want to reinforce the good behaviour in you. So, my advice is that you hold firmly that which you already have. This is an award of excellence presented to you, Comrade  Ossy Nwaka, as the ‘Ray Of Hope For Ibere Youths’, and I, on behalf of the entire people of Ibere want to thank you immensely.

“I also urge you not to relent in your landmark achievements for your people, bearing in mind that posterity must be kind to you, my son”, he submitted.

Earlier, Nwaka counseled  the youths to live a life that would outlive their generation,  that as much as they possibly could, live  harmoniously and in peace with one another.

The  ceremony attracted who is who in Ikwuano LG politics including Hon. Boniface Isienyi,  member representing Ikwuano State Constituency in Abia State House of Assembly;  Pastor Mike Nwaka, the Coordinator of New Era Foundation, former Deputy Chairman of Ikwuano LGA, Cookey Nwachukwu,  amongst others.
