The pro-people and social conscientisation group, For Us By Us, FUBU Movement on Thursday announced the appointment of a Director of Media and Public Affairs, Mr Victor Umegbu and Mr Isaac Paul, as his deputy
In a statement announcing the appointments, the Lead Facilitator of FUBU, Comrade Chika Ishionwu said the appointment of the media professionals is to drive the enlightenment and awareness campaigns of the group to energies delivery on its objectives.
"FUBU embodies the consciousness of the people for a better society. Our unwavering mission is to ensure that every individual, irrespective of their background or circumstances, reaps the dividends of good governance. And as a new era dawns on us, we intend to make FUBU message a mantra for the people.
"We recognize that true empowerment doesn't always originate from the corridors of government. Thus, we are fearless advocates for the rights and needs of our community, prepared to make sacrifices to secure the justice and prosperity our people rightfully deserve"
Ishionwu affirmed that he remains resolute and committed to uplifting the voices of the marginalized, championing their causes, and tirelessly working to bridge the gap between promise and reality. "Together, we will forge a brighter future, where the people are not just heard but truly seen and valued", he proffered
The Media Director, Victor Umegbu, a graduate of Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike, Abia State, holds a degree in Entrepreneurship Management.
Umegbu horned his professional skills with stints at Sun FM 91.3, Igbere and at Green FM 106.9, MOUAU
He further enriched his experience and my passion for communication with stints at a corporate communication concern, Krispy Kreme Abuja.
Isaac Paul, FUBU's Deputy Director of Media and Public Affairs, is also a graduate of Civil Engineering from Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike Abia State. He has attended several trainings in media practice and served as media consultant to political groups and political office holders
