The Chairman/Editor-In-Chief of THISDAY/Arise Media Group, Prince Nduka Obaigbena on Monday received from his former employees hearty congratulations for the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award bestowed on him at the Diamond Awards for Media Excellence (DAME) held in Lagos on Sunday, December 10, 2023.
In the letter of congratulations, former staff of THISDAY newspapers under the aegis of THISDAY Alumni Association, described the award as a testament to his "... outstanding contributions and accomplishments in the media space across Nigeria, Africa and beyond.
"Your visionary leadership, unwavering dedication, relentless innovation, and courage have been instrumental in shaping the landscape of journalism in our country, Nigeria. Your commitment to excellence, integrity, professionalism, and free enterprise has served as an inspiration to many budding journalists and media professionals, both within and outside THISDAY/Arise Media Group", the group stated in the letter signed by Dr Tony Onyima and Mrs Juliana Taiwo-Obalonye, President and Secretary respectively of THISDAY Alumni Association.
The group while expressing immense pride in being part of THISDAY success story also applauded Obaigbena for the wisdom, guidance, and mentorship he provided as their former employer adding that: "Throughout your illustrious career, you have consistently demonstrated a deep understanding of the power of media, using your platform to foster dialogue, champion critical issues, and drive positive change in our society.
