Rep. Sam Onuigbo, member representing the South-East on the Governing Board of the North-East Development Commission, NEDC on Wednesday applauded   Senator Augustine Akobundu, Senator representing Abia Central Senatorial District, for taking a giant step in providing the people with a key pillar in ensuring good governance.


 Rep. Onuigbo made this known in a congratulatory message to Sen. Akobundu in commemoration of the official opening of  Nostro Communications Limited, parent company Spin 95.3FM Radio;  Alpha Spin TV, and a Digital Opportunities Centre on Sunday, January 28, 2024, in Umuahia, Abia State. 


Onuigbo who noted that the media is a critical pillar of good governance which gives the people a voice to engage with their leaders said NOSTROCOM House’s Spin FM and Alpha Spin Television are now outlets through which the people can engage with their leaders and hold them accountable. 


He commended Sen.  Akobundu and his family for making a conscious effort to empower the people by giving them a direct line to governance, and prayed for successful operations for the media outlet.


NOSTROCOM House was commissioned on Sunday, January 28, 2024, by the Governor of Asia State, Dr. Alex Otti OFR, ably represented by the Commissioner for Information and Culture, Prince Okey Kanu.
